Look Two features a 100% fine Italian wool flannel blazer with a distinctive reachback design, paired with inverted pleat knee-length shorts and a pin-tucked cotton sleeveless shirt. This outfit draws inspiration from the iconic "Filzanzug" (Felt Suit) by German artist Joseph Beuys, created in the 1970s.
The suit's collar also pays homage to my grandmother's profession in a butcher shop after her immigration to Germany in the 1960s.
The design choices, such as the reachback on the blazer and the inverted pleats on the shorts, aim to evoke the image of an angel in spiritual form, blending everyday attire with the daily practices of my grandmother and Joseph Beuys.
The pintucks serve a metaphorical purpose, linking the narrative of modern German design and the historical division represented by the Berlin Wall, as referenced in the film.
